President Matt Dalton

President Matt Dalton taught a powerful leadership lesson about serving in the Lord's kingdom and the sacred privilege of being on the Lord's errand. He testified that when we serve in His name, the Lord walks with us, strengthens us, and magnifies our capacity to fulfill the responsibilities He entrusts to us. As we place our trust in Him, He not only sustains us but also increases our ability to magnify our stewardship beyond our natural strength or understanding. 

President Dalton emphasized that the key to effective service lies in learning to listen and guides us in righteousness. He bore heartfelt testimony of his gratitude for a God who speaks to His children, who comforts, directs, and refines us through quiet impressions and spiritual guidance. Throughout his life, President Dalton has felt the tender mercies of the Lord, moments of divine reassurance that confirm God's awareness of each of us. He reminded us of the Lord's promise in Mosiah 24:14: "And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs…. and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me." President Dalton testified that when we serve with humility, faith, and a listening heart, the Lord truly walks beside us, strengthens us through our trials, and works through us to bless the lives of others.

President Lynn Pace  President Lynn Pace counseled in the leadership meeting about the profound meaning found in Proverbs 3:5-6, which teaches us to "trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." While these verses remind us to place our confidence fully in God, President Pace invited us to look deeper, to the powerful message contained in verses 9-10: "Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine." He explained that the phrase "first fruits" represents more than simple obedience— it signifies offering the very best of what we have and who we are to the Lord. 

President Pace testified from personal experience that when we truly "put Him first."  He will always make up the difference in every other part of our lives. As we learn this divine principle, we come to see that God's promises are sure. When we give our all to Him, He will provide abundantly, even to the point that "our barns will be filled with plenty," overflowing with blessings beyond what we can receive or comprehend.
